Book Description :

The essential account of geopolitics right now, from one of our greatest living intellectuals - including a new afterword on President Donald Trump Noam Chomsky: philosopher, political writer, fearless activist. No one has done more to question the hidden actors who govern our lives, calling the powers that be to account. Here he presents Who Rules the World?, his definitive account of those powers, how they work, and why we should be questioning them. From the dark history of the US and Cuba to China's global rise, from torture memos to sanctions on Iran, this book investigates the defining issues of our times and exposes the hypocrisy at the heart of America's policies and actions. The world's political and financial elite are now operating almost totally unconstrained by the so-called democratic structure. With climate change and nuclear proliferation threatening our very survival, dissenting voices have never been more necessary. Fiercely outspoken and rigorously argued, Who Rules the World? is an indispensable guide to how things really are.

Book Description :

*The International Bestseller* Is there anything more cut-throat than global politics? Wherever you turn – Europe, Russia, China, Korea, Syria, the Middle East – we are living in a time of global geopolitical power plays. Once an insider to this closed world, Pedro Banos reveals that however it might be smoothed over by the PR of political diplomacy, the world of geopolitics is one of war and conflict by strategic means, where countries have sought dominion and power over their rivals since the dawn of time. Banos presents this high-stakes game as a series of 22 universal rules on how to act and exert influence in the international sphere. Each principle is contextualised in both classical and modern history, from Bismarck to Kissinger, but also related to the current world of Trump, Putin and Xi Jinping. With titles like ‘Kicking Away the Ladder’, ‘The Tower of Champagne Glasses’, ‘The Madman’, and ‘The Mule and the Saddlebags’, How They Rule the World is a practical set of rules for engagement that can be enjoyed by anyone. Written with the philosophic, aphoristic timelessness of a von Bulow, Sun Tzu or Machiavelli, Banos has created an utterly gripping manual on the secrets of how strategic power really works.

Book Description :

Who Rules the World, God or Satan? The title may surprise many readers. The center theme is to clarify the real situation of the world today. There are a lot of questions which are unanswered. Even if anybody tries to answer them, it doesn't really satisfy the people. The best example could be the most commonly asked question, "Why are there so many sufferings if God is ruling the world and is in full control of the present situation of the world?" The real situation is whether God is trying to deliver people from the bondage of Satan or Satan is trying to take away people from God. If God is trying to deliver people from the rule of Satan, the question will be, "Is Satan greater than God?" The answer is a big no! But then, how is Satan having an easy way in controlling mankind? If God is ruling mankind, is He allowing Satan to have his way in controlling the entire mankind? You can find answers to all such questions in this book. This book is the need of the hour.

Book Description :

Over a career spanning more than fifty years, Hans Schwarz has grappled with nearly all of Christianity's major theological questions. In this latest volume, Schwarz tackles the perennial problem of evil. How is it possible to reconcile the manifest evil and pain in the world with the biblical promise of hope and redemption? Are we, in fact, "lonely wanderers in the immensity of the universe about whom nobody cares," or is there something above and beyond us in which we can trust? To this perennial question Schwarz brings his signature blend of pastoral sensitivity and scholarly acumen. Informed by decades in the classroom, Schwarz offers a sweeping survey of views of the problem of evil, beginning with the world's major religious traditions before focusing on the major views across the broad span of Christian history. The book aims to help readers interested in the problem of evil understand the broad sweep of human thought about the problem, and make informed assessments of the issue for themselves.

Book Description :

A New York Times Bestseller The world’s leading intellectual offers a probing examination of the waning American Century, the nature of U.S. policies post-9/11, and the perils of valuing power above democracy and human rights In an incisive, thorough analysis of the current international situation, Noam Chomsky argues that the United States, through its military-first policies and its unstinting devotion to maintaining a world-spanning empire, is both risking catastrophe and wrecking the global commons. Drawing on a wide range of examples, from the expanding drone assassination program to the threat of nuclear warfare, as well as the flashpoints of Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and Israel/Palestine, he offers unexpected and nuanced insights into the workings of imperial power on our increasingly chaotic planet. In the process, Chomsky provides a brilliant anatomy of just how U.S. elites have grown ever more insulated from any democratic constraints on their power. While the broader population is lulled into apathy—diverted to consumerism or hatred of the vulnerable—the corporations and the rich have increasingly been allowed to do as they please. Fierce, unsparing, and meticulously documented, Who Rules the World? delivers the indispensable understanding of the central conflicts and dangers of our time that we have come to expect from Chomsky.

Book Description :

The past few decades have seen a massive increase in the number of international organizations focusing on global health. Campaigns to eradicate or stem the spread of AIDS, SARS, malaria, and Ebola attest to the increasing importance of globally-oriented health organizations. These organizations may be national, regional, international, or even non-state organizations-like Medicins Sans Frontieres. One of the more important recent trends in global health governance, though, has been the rise of public-private partnerships (PPPs) where private non-governmental organizations, for-profit enterprises, and various other social entrepreneurs work hand-in-hand with governments to combat specific maladies. A primary driver for this development is the widespread belief that by joining together, PPPs will attack health problems and fund shared efforts more effectively than other systems. As Chelsea Clinton and Devi Sridhar show in Governing Global Health, these partnerships are not only important for combating infectious diseases; they also provide models for developing solutions to a host of other serious global health challenges and questions beyond health. But what do we actually know about the accountability and effectiveness of PPPs in relation to the traditional multilaterals? According to Clinton and Sridhar, we have known very little because scholars have not accumulated enough data or developed effective ways to assess them-until now. In their analysis, they uncovered both strength and weaknesses of the model. Using principal-agent theory in which governments are the principals directing international agents of various type, they take a closer look at two major PPPs-the Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria and the GAVI Alliance-and two major more traditional international organizations-the World Health Organization and the World Bank. An even-handed and thorough empirical analysis of one of the most pressing topics in world affairs, Governing Global Health will reshape our understanding of how organizations can more effectively prevent the spread of communicable diseases like AIDS and reduce pervasive chronic health problems like malnutrition.

Book Description :

In his first book, "World Conspiracy", Thomas A. Anderson got to the bottom of various topics: from the lies around 9/11, about the connection of terror with politics, about a common primal or original language of all peoples, the intervention of various "gods" into development on earth, right down to the question of why Germans and Jews are so often at the center of world affairs. A huge amount of lies has been exposed that official school science has given us.The "space conspiracy" is about facts! The fact is that the Germans had a space program in modern times long before the other nations. They have already traveled to the moon, the planets of our solar system and the galaxy when others have not yet fully understood the technology required for this. However, the Germans had help from extraterrestrial groups, of which at least one from today's review must be seen very critical. It is precisely this alien group that has been manipulating humanity for millennia. Thousands of traps have been set up on many levels - from the financial system, through medicine, to nutrition - in which mankind is trapped to this day. Thomas A. Anderson not only presents the traps, but also the way out. If he gets to the bottom of something, he does not stop there, but digs further to the root. Anderson once again provides answers that maybe not everyone will like, but that actually analyze the overall situation and show everyone what they can do to free themselves. And if everyone pulls together, the way is open for humanity in a universe that we have never known before. The facts provided can be checked by everone on his own.As in the first book, also here there are many pages of sources and other information for everybody interested in digging deep into the rabbitwhole. What formely was religion to us now can become a knowledge based on actual facts. no beliefsystem anymore, just pure knowledge. And the purer it gets, the more wonderful is the result of the developing picture of the world and universe. This book is for those readers, who do not have the time to watch hundreds of hours of videos and research for years and years to get the information collected - this book together with his first book offer you a compact collection of everything you ever wanted to know about our planet Earth, history of humanity and the background information why we live in such an important time.
