Book Description :

Never Perfect Always Blessed recounts one woman’s journey to wholeness. Revealing intimate and empowering insights on the author’s teen pregnancy, the challenges she faced as she raised her son without his father and her journey to self-awareness, self-love and genuine happiness. Running throughout the narrative is a deep-felt belief in the opportunity that our life experiences offer growth and gifts from God. Created at the onset of her mother’s diagnosis with Alzheimer’s, these autobiographical tales honour her mother and her mother’s contribution to her life journey. At the same time, the stories demonstrate the influence of family, culture, friends and spiritual awareness. Written with passion and authenticity, this memoir provides hope for anyone who suffers from a lack of self-worth, rejection, depression or sadness. It offers the assurance that current circumstances, however difficult or dark, don’t have to determine the future. We are all worthy and valuable and can create the lives that we want, just as Lesley Ann did. This narrative will especially appeal to single mothers who can often feel alone, tired, insecure and stigmatized. Lesley-Ann has been there, and she speaks directly to those women, giving hope, warmth, and acceptance.

Book Description :

The Orphan: A Journey to Wholeness addresses loneliness and the feeling of being alone in the world, two distinct characteristics that mark the life of an orphan. Regardless if we have grown up with or without parents, we are all too likely to meet such experiences in ourselves and in our daily encounters with others. With numerous case examples, Dr. Punnett describes how loneliness and the feeling of being alone tend to be repeated in later relationships and may eventually lead to states of anxiety and depression. The main purpose of this book is not to just stay within the context of the literal orphan, but also to explore its symbolic dimensions in order to provide meaning to the diverse experiences of feeling alone in the world. In accepting the orphan within, we begin to take responsibility for our own unique life journey, a privileged journey in which one can at some point in time say with pride, I am an orphan.

Book Description :

Ten years ago I set out on a Spiritual Journey. Through the years I have lost friends, both my father and stepfather, and my favorite aunt, and most of all bad attitudes. Through it all I held on to Gods hand, and He continued to show me that with him I can truly conquer all things including the feat of becoming a whole woman. I learned that I am not defined by others, but I am defined by my love of self, others, and God. As a single mother and child of God I have endured many obstacles in my journey into self actualization and spiritual wholeness. Many times I would pray and ask the Lord why do I have to endure the pain and heartache that I am going through. God let me know that my pain was not in vain and that I needed to write down all the conflicts that I go through as a mother a single woman, and a child of God. These poems and words of wisdom are about how I as a Christian woman have endured trials, and how God has made me victorious over every obstacle in my life. I pray that my ability to be open and honest about my love for God, my love for myself, and my love for people as a whole will help someone who feels lost or confused about how to have peace and fulfillment in your journey with Christ. I was led to name my first book Spirit Train after the revelation that we are all on a Spiritual Journey to attain wholeness, and our souls are liken to a train. We will come to destinations in our life in which we will have to unload or allow some things to depart from our souls, and minds, and in return we will allow Gods attributes to come aboard and give us the spiritual, and self fulfillment that we so desire to attain. I give biblical reference to every poem I write I order or you to meditate not only on the poetry, but on the word of God that inspired the poetry. I have left extra space after each thought of the day in order for you to write down your own thoughts, and do some self exploration. I challenge you to take the Spirit Train, find out the will of God for your life, and move forward infaith, becoming the fulfilled, loving person that God already sees you as. Be blessed for these words are from my heart and they are inspired by the Heavenly Father above.

Have you ever felt extremely tired and irritated, emotionally drained, have difficulty communicating with others in a pleasant manner especially with your children? Perhaps you may be experiencing feelings of being demotivated, depressed, angry and frustrated? Do you feel the need to shout when attempting to discipline your child, or feel like you don't have time for you, not even to think? Then it means you may very well be an 'empty vessel, ' - empty of the positive energy needed to be an effective person and parent. When this happens, you need a "time out," "time out" to self-care. This book provides useful and easy to apply guidelines that help nurture and develop a healthy self, specific to the needs of single mothers and mothers who feel single. To become the best mother you can be to your kids, you must begin the journey of wholeness by first taking care of 'you'. This guide book offers practical suggestions that help you start this process through self-care in five dimensions: Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Intellectual, and Social. I have also included a sample of my own self-care plan and a few extra pages to create your own. I am sure you will find this book very resourceful.

Book Description :

This is a print on demand book and is therefore non- returnable. Perhaps no other theologian of the second half of this century has shaped theology so profoundly as has Jürgen Moltmann. He appeared on the world theological scene with his Theology of Hope (1964) and took most of its capitals by storm. His subsequent works have kept him at the forefront of the modern theological enterprise, and the power of his vision and the originality of his method have inspired a host of new theologians. In terms of fecundity, Moltmann's opus remains unmatched among his generation of theologians. More than 130 dissertations written so far on his thought -- most of them in the past decade -- testify eloquently to its continued attractiveness. In honor of Moltmann's 70th birthday, twenty-six of the world's leading theologians -- his friends, colleagues, interlocutors, and former students -- have contributed to this volume on the future of theology. Moltmann himself has always sought to be both contemporary and future-oriented: his theology can be viewed as an exercise not only from the perspective of God's future but also toward a new human future. Thus, a book on the future of theology takes up an aspect of "his" theme and "his" concern. Yet this volume also makes a significant contribution to theology in its own right, seeking as it does to address the present crisis of theology. As Miroslav Volf writes in his introduction, "On the threshold of the third millennium, the presumed queen of sciences has grown old and feeble, unable to see that what she thinks is her throne is just an ordinary chair, uncertain about what her territories are, and confused about how to rule in the realms she thinks are hers, seeking advice from a quarrelsome chorus of counselors each of whom thinks himself the king, and ending up with a divided, even schizophrenic, mind." The essays in this volume attempt to revitalize theology as it confronts a difficult future. Despite the formidable obstacles that threaten the very survival of theology in the next century -- religious and cultural plurality; the marginalization of theology in public discourse; increasing abstraction in the practice of theology; pressing issues of gender, race, poverty, and ecology; the seemingly archaic voice of theology in post- Christian societies -- the contributors to this volume all believe in the future of theology as a vibrant discipline. The Future of Theology is organized in three parts. "Challenges" deals with the external or internal problems that theology is facing. "Perspectives" offers proposals on how to meet the challenges. "Themes" concentrates on various issues that need special attention today. Together, these essays succeed in setting the theological agenda for the future of theology, and thereby serve as a fitting tribute to this volume's esteemed honoree. Book Description :

Now is the time to remember who you are. The shift in consciousness that you may be experiencing -- during this time of unprecedented change -- is a doorway into a joyful and exciting new way of being on planet Earth. To encourage enjoyable and insightful personal breakthroughs within the momentum of change, Journey Through an Open Door provides a mirror reflecting a step-by-step progression into a wider view. That wider view -- that expansion -- is inside us all and it is accessed through a heart-directed journey. This heart-directed journey of expansion includes essential balancing of the intuitive with the rational, the feminine with the masculine, the inner landscape with the outer one. Rooted in the beauty of natures year along the Maine coastline, Tritia Hamilton's narrative for Journey Through an Open Door is the background for doorway-opening commentary from beneficent guides who playfully call themselves Mirin. It is they who suggested and inspired the writing of this unique and multi-layered book. Among the twenty Mirin commentaries shared within the narrative of Journey Through an Open Door are: Remembering, Playfulness, All Mirrors are Magic Mirrors, Power Places, Guidance, Relationships, Where is the Future?, The Land of Enchantment, The Dawning. The annotated journal pages that follow each of the Mirin commentaries invite participation and strongly encourage your personal heart-directed journey. Fifty-six keys to expansion further enhance your process of opening into the wider view. "We underscore that the adventure of expansion into enhanced awareness is not a whimsical side trip but rather an integral part of your journey. This journey can ultimately align both your heart's longings and rememberings with earthplane reality'. Access to long-denied parts of yourself, and transformation of all aspects of your reality both inner and outer is possible. And it beckons." ~ Mirin

Book Description :

In Break the Grip of Past Lovers, author Jumana Sophia teaches women how to move beyond the lingering betrayals of past relationships to reclaim their personal power, reestablish healthy boundaries, and move forward into deeper and more intimate relationships with a renewed sense of sensual receptivity and emotional balance. With a teaching style that is warm, down to earth, and full of wisdom that speaks to the often-misunderstood vulnerability and power of female sexuality, Jumana guides women beyond the limitations of talk therapy and into a personal homecoming that will become a foundation for truly healthy intimacy in the future. Break the Grip of Past Lovers addresses regret, remorse, low self-esteem, and the inability to connect fully or trust someone new. Jumana guides the reader through experiences of betrayal, neglect, loss of personal power, manipulation, and even experiences that were so beautiful that they have left grief and irreconcilable longing in their place. The journey she presents is a journey of initiation into power, catalyzed by the kind of heartbreak and loss of self that only past sexual relationships can provide.
