Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer diagnosed among women in the United States. It is second only to lung cancer as a leading cause of cancer death in females. The National Cancer Institute estimated that 230,480 women were diagnosed with breast cancer in the US in 2011 and 39,520 women died from it. And the scary part is anyone can get cancer. There is no single diet, food, or nutrient that will keep you from getting cancer. However, in the same way that wearing a seatbelt may protect you from being injured in a car accident, eating certain types of food may help to protect you from developing many cancers, including breast cancer. Dr. Julia Greer - cancer expert and author of The Anti-Cancer Cookbook - pulls together everything you need to know about breast cancer and the foods you should eat to protect you from developing breast cancer. She shares her collection of more than 200 recipes for sauces, main courses, sandwiches, breads, desserts and beverages - many of which are vegan or vegetarian and over half are gluten free. What we eat – and don’t eat – influences our chances of developing cancer. A diet rich in vegetables, fruits, fatty fish, olive oil, garlic, herbs and spices provides compounds that significantly lower our risks. Meanwhile, a typical western diet of processed meat and refined sugar and starch and unhealthy vegetable oils encourages cancer cells to grow. Many of us know about the importance of a healthy diet, but most of us need help building menus that are best for our bodies. Zest for Life, the first cancer-prevention guide based on the traditional Mediterranean diet, gives all the information and practical advice you need for a delicious diet to boost your defences.Inspired by rich and healthy culinary traditions from countries around the Mediterranean – including Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Morocco – Zest for Life celebrates the restorative powers of eating well, with an emphasis on fresh, varied ingredients, simple preparations and conviviality. This is no short-term ‘diet’ involving hunger and deprivation; Zest for Life shows how you can eat delicious, healthy food every day, year after year. The book has a 120-page science section outlining the principles of anti-cancer eating based on the latest medical research and over 160 family-friendly recipes. It addresses not only cancer patients and their carers, but also healthy individuals wishing to boost their defences. Author Conner Middelmann-Whitney’s engaging style and clear writing make this book highly accessible for people of all ages and walks of life. Pragmatic, not preachy, Conner shares her personal cancer story and suggests many simple ways in which anti-cancer eating can fit into busy schedules and tight budgets. Conner is donating 25 per cent of her royalties (32 pence per book sold) to Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres, a UKregistered charity (number SC024414). “We are delighted that Zest for Life is supporting Maggie's,” said Laura Lee, chief executive of Maggie's. “We believe that everyone who is affected by cancer should be given the information and choices they need to live life with, through and beyond cancer. Book Description :

Well, to put it succinctly, the cause of cancer can be simply called a mistake! Yes, a mistake in the cell formation process called DNA replication. Now, the further the cycles of DNA replication a cell line goes through, the more mistake is to be expected... that at some point, somewhere, a replication fault will be made somehow! However, the truth is that a huge majority of these so called errors or slips if you like, will be harmless at the end. On the other hand, the truth that we must not overlook is that the more mistakes you have, the more likely that at some point, someplace one of those mistakes will be harmful! Okay, you may say... one harmful mistake need not be the end of the world, but then again, there's an obstinate, snowballing effect to this: yes, look at it this way, there are some of the copying mistakes we make that will make our copying and proofreading mechanisms more error-prone themselves, and the implication is that it will lead to more mistakes. So, the more mistakes you have... the more mistakes you'll have. Other than the proofreading mechanisms, there is also another aspect to it... I mean the suicide aspect of this thing that we need to also take note of. Yes, and that is called the mechanism (apoptosis) in which case, the challenging cell lines destroy themselves! Well, to look at it from this other perspective, I will say it is kind of like the philosophies or the thinking in some cultures where the older individuals, not wanting to be a liability to the other members of the clan, will just die off in a corner someplace. Yes, besides that, there is also the good old impervious system which will normally search and terminate reprobate cell lines. What's more, the tricky thing is that with abundant mistakes, the apoptotic mechanism itself also becomes out of order and the reprobate cell line becomes resistant to the immune system of the body! As a result, what will happen is that such a reprobate cell line for instance, won't stop duplicating itself, in fact, it will propagate into other tissues and body parts, and in the process will divert blood flow to feed itself at the expense of others! Yes, it will be resistant to any attempts to suppress it, and on the final analysis, it won't kill itself like it is theoretically expected to do. As a matter of fact, this psychopathic cell line, which is obviously a reprobate cell line in all sense that has refused to play by the rules as we described above, is what is called cancer! Now, I will like you to get your copy of the book today and avail yourself the full benefit to access all the details of "How to Fight Cancer the Ketogenic Diet Way and Naturally Eliminate Cancer As a Metabolic Disease from a Cancer Fighting Kitchen Today!"

Book Description :

The stunning bestseller from Quebec, coming in English in May. Over 138,000 French-language copies sold! Within this book is the perfect recipe for success: An author who is one of the world’s foremost experts in the groundbreaking area of how food chemistry can fight cancer. A highly accessible and practical text. A beautifully designed package accompanied by full-colour illustrations. According to the Canadian Cancer Society, an estimated 149,000 new cases of cancer occurred in Canada in 2005. While this statistic is alarming, current research is showing convincingly that elements in particular foods may significantly reduce the risk of cancer in healthy individuals and slow its progress in those already suffering from the disease. We can help ourselves and our families through healthy eating. But the information coming through the popular media is confusing and often hard to understand. Just what should we be eating and in what combinations? Do all cancer-fighting foods work the same way? Do they all fight all kinds of cancers? In Foods That Fight Cancer, leading biochemist Richard Béliveau teams up with Denis Gingras to describe the science of food and which properties of particular foods are the active cancer-fighting elements. They deftly explain how different foods work to protect the body against different cancers and show which foods will be most effective. By understanding the science behind these therapeutic benefits, we come to realize not only why it is so critical to add these foods to our diet, but how easily it can be done.
