There was no need for a major revision of the text but I have taken the opportunity to make several amendments and improvements. The need for this book arose from my teaching, engineering, and - search experience in the non-power aspects of nuclear technology. From this basis the Onsager-Casimir relations are derived, together with the mesoscopic master equation, the Langevin equation and the Fokker-Planck truncation procedure.
