Life keeps us running so fast and frenzied that we often lose sight of each day’s holy potential. Yet as a woman loved and called by God, your ordinary everyday matters more than you could possibly imagine. Your choices today shape the legacy you leave for future generations. You are part of a story that has existed long before you and will long outlast you. And you can play a unique and irreplaceable role. In Only One Life, mother-and-daughter team Jackie Green and Lauren McAfee invite you to join the company of women God is using to change the world. Through vivid portraits of women of the Bible, women of history, and women shaping the world today, you will discover how God multiplies seemingly small daily offerings of faithfulness. Come and see your own story reflected in the lives of women such as: Mary Magdalene, the first witness to Jesus’s resurrection. Catherine Booth, an early apologist for women’s rights and co-founder of the Salvation Army. Christine Caine, a contemporary speaker and human rights activist And other ordinary women who have done extraordinary things, including Harriet Tubman, Queen Esther, Lottie Moon, and Joni Eareckson Tada. Book Description :

ONLY ONE LIFE is the story of the life and ministry of Kenneth Steward. It reveals the adventures of a poor city-bred country boy who dreamed of one day growing up and traveling to see the world. That dream was fulfilled when he served with his wife as missionaries from the famine-plagued plains of Central India to the snow-capped Himalayas in the far north. Whether it was a hurricane in the Atlantic, a threatening mob in their village, or a horde of stinging bees in the jungles of Western India where they served in a small school for missionaries' children, God's hand of protection was on them. God eventually took them to British Columbia where they had a fruitful ministry with immigrants from India. Through nearly 60 years of ministry, the author and his wife came to experience God's provision in times of great need. Kenneth Steward was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota just before the Great Depression. He attended a Bible college in Southern Tennessee where he met his future wife, Wilma. Together they served as missionaries in the United States, India and Canada, as well as other places around the world. Though officially retiring at the end of 1990, they continued in active ministry until his wife sustained a stroke, as he was to begin a brief pastoral ministry on Prince Edward Island, Canada. The Stewards presently live in Southeastern Missouri at Missionary Acres, a retirement village operated by Baptist Mid-Missions.

Abused by her father, it becomes clear that he would be capable of killing Samra if she brought dishonour to the family. Within days she is also discovered dead. To top it all, Samra's younger sister has also gone missing. Book Description :

Reflections on the One Life is a book of daily expressions or pointers to spiritual awakening—one pointer for each day of the year. The clarity is astounding. This demystifies spiritual awakening, strips it of all fundamentalism, and presents it in a clear and easy-to-read way. This is about the timeless presence that you already are. Each pointer peels away beliefs, positions, and ideas about spirituality, including the idea that you exist as a separate self, only to reveal—in the end—that nothing is excluded. Its central message is that there is only One Life appearing in a myriad of forms. You are that One Life. This is when the distinctions between absolute and relative, form and formlessness, timelessness and time, no self and self, One and many, and all other boundaries collapse into a great and loving mystery that Scott calls 'This’.

Book Description :

Brother Witness Lee traveled to Manila, Philippines, on December 10, 1952, and stayed there until June 30, 1953. During this time he released messages that compose the first six chapters of The Bridge and Channel of God, which appears in volume 1 of this set. A collection of his personal notes written in January is included in volume 1 of this set. On June 1 through 14 he conducted a training on service in the mornings with brothers who attended from the Philippines as well as from other Southeast Asian countries. The main subject of these meetings was on the conditions for God to use man and on the knowledge needed for those who serve the Lord. In the evenings he spoke to the whole church on God's need for man and the life of service. After this, he conducted meetings in Baguio, Philippines, for three days beginning on June 15, with two meetings every day. The subject of these meetings was on the life and living of the Lord's serving ones and the revelation and way for service. These messages were originally published in The Ministry of the Word, Issue Nos. 27 and 28, and are included in volume 1 of this set under the title The Ministry of the Word, Miscellaneous Messages, 1953. After returning from Manila on June 30, Brother Lee remained in Taiwan for the rest of the year. Beginning on August 9 he conducted an eleven-day conference on life and the church with over two thousand in attendance. These messages are included in volume 1 of this set in the section entitled Knowing Life and the Church. The most significant event of this year was a sixteen-week training that began in September and ended in the middle of December. This was the most crucial training during the first few years of the work in Taiwan. All the sections in the remainder of the 1953 set are from messages released during this training. These include The Knowledge of Life and The Experience of Life, both of which have become crucial books in the Lord's recovery since that time. Some of the messages in these sections were given in 1954. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1953, volume 1, contains messages that Brother Witness Lee gave in 1953. This volume also includes notes, articles for publication, and an outline written in the same year. Additionally, prayers offered by Brother Lee in meetings from 1953 through 1957 are included in this volume. Historical information concerning Brother Lee's travels and the content of his ministry in 1953 can be found in the general preface that appears at the beginning of this volume. The contents of this volume are divided into nine sections, as follows: 1. Eight messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, and Manila, Philippines, in 1953. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The Bridge and Channel of God and are included in this volume under the same title. 2. A collection of personal notes written in January 1953. These are included in this volume under the title Witness Lee's Personal Notes. 3. Two messages given in Manila, Philippines, on June 12 and 13, 1953. These messages are included in this volume under the title Concerning the Lord's Work and God's Move. 4. Twenty-three messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, in August 1953. These messages were previously published in a book entitled Knowing Life and the Church and are included in this volume under the same title. 5. Nine articles and reports that appeared in various issues of The Ministry of the Word in 1953. They are included in this volume under the title The Ministry of the Word, Miscellaneous Messages, 1953. 6. Four messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on August 18 and 20, 1953. These messages are included in this volume under the title Fellowship in Preparation for the Service Training in Taipei. 7. A detailed outline written in 1953 showing the subjects that were covered in the training on service in Taipei, Taiwan. This outline is included in this volume under the title Outline of the Service Training in Taipei. 8. Five messages given during an intensified sixteen-week training on service in Taipei, Taiwan, on September 1 through December 18, 1953. These messages are included in this volume under the title The Human Conduct and the Ministry of the Word of the Lord's Serving Ones. Most of the content of the service training and the fellowship that followed the training is published in volume 2 of this set in the section entitled Messages and Fellowship Given during the Service Training in Taipei. 9. A collection of nineteen prayers offered by Brother Lee in meetings held in Taipei, Taiwan, and Hong Kong from 1953 through 1957. They are included in this volume under the title A Collection of Prayers.

Book Description :

A pioneer in the theory of pluralistic casuistry, the idea that there are almost as many facets to moral choices as there are cases that call for choices, Baruch Brody takes issue with conventional bioethical wisdom and challenges the rigid principalism of contemporary bioethics. His views have been seen as controversial, but they are firmly held, and convincingly argued—all of which have led him to be one of the most widely discussed and highly admired bioethicists of our time. He argues for the fundamental distinction between active and passive euthanasia, for a need to reconceptualize approaches to brain death, and for the right of providers to unilaterally discontinue life support. He shows support for the waiving of the requirement of informed consent for some research, for the widespread use of animals in research, and for the use of placebos in many international clinical trials. When it comes to morality as it is practiced in medicine, Brody makes clear that the ethical issues are never as simple as black and white—that there are myriad factors and fine nuances that can and should challenge decision making as it is commonly practiced in difficult medical cases. In this collection, delving thoughtfully and systematically into methodology, research ethics, clinical ethics, and Jewish medical ethics, he tackles thorny life-and-death questions head-on and fearlessly. He casts a light into all the corners of end-of-life decisions—a field in which he has exemplary credentials—while illuminating a new understanding of morality and ethics. The introduction outlines Brody's approach, defines the terminology used, and contrasts his ethical positions with much of the competing literature. Taking Issue will be invaluable to students and scholars in medical ethics, bioethics, and philosophy of medicine.

Book Description :

31 Days of Fun, Satire, and Deeper Meaning of the Godly Beard! Is there a connection between hairiness and holiness? Some would say a hearty “Yes!” In fact, the world is in the middle of a beard mania. Events like Movember and Decembeard are becoming global movements and manly sites are appearing all over the internet. Is this just another fad? And what does it say that so many of the most famous Christian communicators have or did have a beard? Throughout history, Christian men have gloried in male pattern magnificence. Saint Benedict of Nursia wore a superb double forker. The benevolently-bushed Euthymius wouldn’t allow clean-shaven monks to enter his Judean Desert monastery. St. Francis of Assisi had a beard, and now there’s a Pope named after him. He’s clean-shaven, but we’re praying for him. Of all the great Christian men who wore beards, none stands so highly as the headless martyr Sir Thomas More. On the day of his beheading, the tufted knight supposedly positioned his beard away from his soon-to-be-severed neck, saying: “My beard has not been guilty of treason, and it would be an injustice to punish it.” But of course, Bearded Gospel Men is about far more than beards – it’s about manliness and godliness. Through this 31-day devotional, men are inspired to rise to a higher calling. The humor and facial hair is the perfect means to have a broader conversation about living a faithful life. So, let’s study some of these famous Bearded Gospel Men!

We live in a foolish world with women making bad choices and suffering from the collateral damage of other’s wrong choices. The One Year Wisdom for Women Devotional, based on the audio program of the same name, was birthed out of the great need for women to hear how God addresses every single facet of their lives through the powerful and practical book of Proverbs. For many, the Proverbs are hard to study because the topics jump around from verse to verse. The One Year Wisdom for Women Devotional is a practical tool that will help women in their daily walk with the Lord. It is a great companion to the One Year Bible because it directly follows that book’s daily Proverbs reading. Each day not only follows the script of the Wisdom for Women audio program, it also references the One Year Bible reading schedule and ends with a powerful call to action.

THROUGH TIME, is an anthology of poems. A compact of two anthologies (a) Hidden through time (b) Drops through time, in one book. The poem honours the intrinsic nature of man, extrinsic nature of the world and the challenges of time to making man live out above the norms of life - There is no under-judgment about the fact that births of transparent green tangibles are consequences of conception and only the green coating of a mind knows the white substance that feeds the soul of man to make progenies. In it, nature is ceased to function and we all are glad. FESTUS ARINZE ALIBA, in this book exposes the need for man to have softer air to breathe from, and giving awareness about the hopeful green to achieve. Thus the book aims at making man moist and wet in Love and Life to cause him to be evaporative enough to cause rain in seasons and to make other men of substance have spherical increment on radius.

Is it sometimes morally wrong to pursue happiness? Should governments promote happiness through public policy? Think you’re having a bad day? Trust us, it gets worse.
