Book Description :

Essentials of Neuromodulation describes the application of neuromodulation for aesthetic purposes. Detailed for readers are all essential aspects of neuromodulation treatment, including how to best safeguard patients. This volume provides an increased anatomical understanding of the injection anatomy within the face in an effort to focus on standard of care and set an industry standard in cosmetic injectables. Given the highly specialized training required for this skill, it details the history as well as the mechanism of action for each FDA-approved neuromodulating drug on the market. Unique anatomical renderings by medical artist Kevin Cease provide accurate and detailed anatomy to correlate beautifully with the content. With before, during, and after photos of more than 20 models and written detailed descriptions, diagrams, tables, and charts, all types of learners with every style of learning will benefit from this one-of-a-kind book. This book is a stepping stone for in-depth knowledge into this specialty field and begin to set the standard for entrance into the practice of aesthetics. Provides a broad background to the neuroaesthetics field, including definitions Highlights key brain regions involved in processing aesthetic experiences Uniquely discusses neuroaesthetics in the context of brain plasticity Features over 20 unique anatomical presentations to help master neuromodulation Describes techniques and explores data from brain-imaging technology

Book Description :

The Epistemologic study of the mind-mind problem (Mind-brain / ToM) and conscious cognition, can apply the "Theory of Neuronal Epistemology" (TNE) based on backpropagation of specific neural networks. For operating in functionalist terms and in a cognitive way, the TNE is supported by a connectionist model holding the algorithmic equation that includes probabilistic features, spatiotemporal units, computational components and fractal-geometric-tensorial variables. The main arguments of the TNE deal with the study of diverse neuronal lineages and their sophisticated specialization (Neuronalism and the "neurons knowledge"). A second argument is the "Protein Epistem" determining this specialization degree, and the third is associated with connectionism. The essential unit of the TNE formula is the Fractal Coincidental Pattern (FCP) used for evaluating the multiple-vectorial probabilities of this "small world" during the quantal release of neurotransmitters.

Book Description :

This ground breaking title presents the many different neurologic syndromes and vastly expanding data in the brain sciences from an evolutionary, or neuro-archeological, perspective, as well as a clinical one. The neuro-archeological perspective offers a more thorough picture of the field – providing hindsight that leads to great insight and foresight. It thus provides the reader with the core foundational aspects of many perplexing neurologic syndromes. Authored by a noted authority in cognitive neurology and including ample tables, diagrams and images, the book covers the full range of behavioral neurological, psychological and neuropsychiatric syndromes, as well as their underlying disease states, relevant neuropsychological tests and contemporary neuroimaging, both structural and functional. The evolutionary approach offers a comprehensive, novel, and completely updated overview of each topic. An invaluable title unlike any other in the field, Cognitive, Conative and Behavioral Neurology: An Evolutionary Perspective is a landmark resource and will be of great interest to neurologists, psychiatrists, neuroscientists, and trainees in all fields.
