Amanda McGill’s accident and recovery cannot touch the personal grief she and Mitch must endure in EVER THIS DAY BE AT MY SIDE. Not even the allegations assaulting their reputations can equate to what is most important to them, their family. The sequel begins where GRACE FLOWING FREELY ended, in the Fall of 2000. George W. Bush becomes president in a tumultuous election questioning his authenticity as the prevailing candidate; the nation is unaware it is on the precipice of the greatest act of terrorism within its borders. To the provocation of Spencer Griffin and Ozzie Maxwell who collude for his demise, Get-Getter Mitch McGill is elevated to new heights at USBC while Amanda continues her philanthropic endeavors with the Micah Foundation. Unaccustomed to the District’s deceitful climate and terrifying perils, she, to Mitch’s chagrin, becomes more drawn than ever to her beloved Chippewa Falls. Neither could have predicted, however, that the greatest sorrow would visit their family.

Love and Ordinary Things Marcy Goldman Poetry from the wheat field, dance floor and heart “I like to think I’m wearing my heart on my sleeve in service to the common good. My recipes are to feed the body but my poems are to nourish the soul”. What sort of poetry comes from being a master baker, mother of sons, wheat’s handmaiden, tango dancer, mistress of scents and a woman with a Jane Austen romantic bent? Personal, riveting, evocative, sensual poems that tell a tale from kitchen to fields of grain to the baseball diamond, to dance floors with worn patinas of unending tangos danced till midnight and a heart that takes no prisoners. This is a special and highly personal collection of poetry of the baker & cookbook author who danced tango in cowboy boots and baked bread in a frilly apron and raised three boys into men along the way. It includes poems of all seasons and reasons, light on tears but rife with heart and spirit. It is one person’s unique recipe for life and love in poems. About Marcy Goldman Marcy Goldman, is a professional pastry chef, cookbook author, writer and the spirit and creative voice of www.BetterBaking.com. Since 1997, Betterbaking.com has been the online home of the baker who is also, as it turns out, is a wordsmith and poet as well as the village baker. Before embarking on her work in the world of food, Goldman had several of her poems published in the New York Times. But as food, motherhood, and life as we know it intervened the poems got put aside. Here at last, is a treasured collection of the poems from Goldman’s multi-faceted world. Goldman has been a frequent guest on Martha Stewart Sirius and a contributor to the New York Times, Washington Post, Bon Appetit and Epicurious. Goldman’s best-selling cookbooks include When Bakers Cook, A Passion for Baking, A Treasury of Jewish Holiday Baking, The Best of Betterbaking.com and The Baker’s Four Seasons. Love and Ordinary Things is Marcy Goldman’s first published non-cookbook. www.RiverHeartPress.com www.BetterBaking.com Canada

Book Description :

It is easy to distinguish what it is from what it is not, just by telling them apart, or just by knowing what exists, from what it does not. And this is the empirical approach while studying Existence. Yet what exactly is Existence in itself? How or where does Existence exist? Is Existence limited to the human existence, perception, and reasoning? Is Existence limited to the cognitive summation of all living beings? Yes, because all living beings form Existence, just because the term ‘being’ implies to be, to exist. However, the term ‘real’ implies the same. Because the concept ‘existence’ has a multitude of terms defining it, and now we have to consider them while studying Existence in all details. And as you notice, we are not looking for a superficial, empirical study, because we already have it, since we already know that everything that exists exists and everything that does not exist does not exist. We want more, we want a comprehensive study of Existence, through all premises: existential, empirical, philosophical, cognitive, interconnected, mathematical, living, social, developmental, scientific, analytical, rational, and so on. But what exactly is there escaping the senses of perception of all living beings in the world? The nonexistent, certainly. And what exactly exists and takes place beyond Existence itself? Again, it is the nonexistent, yet this is the case for us only, from our perspective. Because Existence is relative to any observer. For example, you have one existence defining you, and it is your own existence. And in this manner, you may exist even alone, on your own, and you still exist, for yourself. Yet for others, if they never encounter and never interact with you directly and implicitly, then you do not exist for them, you are simply part of the inexistent, and so are they for you, from your own perspective. Because there might be zillions of realities similar to ours, but if they never interact with us, they never exist for us, while we never exist for them. And this is the case for all realities, because nothing exists at the exterior of any reality, not even this concept of ‘exterior.’ The purpose of this book is to study Existence entirely through accurate facts, from all perspectives and in all circumstances, in order to be able to understand it completely. Furthermore, we use Existence to define, understand, and explain everything else related to humans and human life. And since Existence stands at the base of everything that exists in the world, this accounts for everything indeed.

Book Description :

Imagine you are sitting in a lovely garden. It is in the early hours, when mist enshrouds the liminal space between night and day. Or it may be in the cool of the evening, as a pallet of color begins to emerge just beyond the horizon. You are drawn to quiet reflection and wish to express the musings of your heart in word or verse, in watercolor sketch or photographic image. Such was the experience of the authors of this invitation to spiritual formation through interactive reflective journaling. Inspired by daily readings from Henri Nouwen's very personal journal, The Inner Voice of Love: A Journey through Anguish to Freedom, the authors embarked on a several-month process of journaling back and forth to each other: one writing poetic reflections during their "misty morning" quiet time, the other responding with a story that came to mind during their "grace-filled evening". In this compilation, the authors share excerpts from their own interactive journaling process, provide readers with suggestions for prayer and reflection, and encourage other seekers to add another layer to the story through their own journal reflections.

In the million-selling favorite, best-selling author Max Lucado leads readers through a word-by-word study of John 3:16, the passage that he calls the "Hope Diamond" of Scripture. A twenty-six word parade of hope: beginning with God, ending with life, and urging us to do the same. Brief enough to write on a napkin or memorize in a moment, yet solid enough to weather two thousand years of storms and questions. If you know nothing of the Bible, start here. If you know everything in the Bible, return here. We all need the reminder. The heart of the human problem is the heart of the human. And God's treatment is prescribed in John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. He loves. He gave. We believe. We live. Believers and seekers alike have flocked to this hope and continue to share this message with those they love.

They probably didn't stand at the foot of the cross or even hang next to Jesus on one of their own. But they pepper the pages of the Bible, reminding us that we're not alone. Just like you and me, these ordinary people stumbled and struggled. They faced their own sin and came face to face with a God who not only wipes it away, but also makes the common extraordinary. They discovered that an encounter with the living God changes everything. Dive into the lives of more than twenty of the Bible's most compelling characters through inspirational selections from the writings of bestselling author Max Lucado. An ideal companion volume to Cast of Characters, this book features a whole new cast and the encouragement from their stories.
